GRADING INFORMATION

Every year around the end of each semester's teaching period, members will get the opporuntity to grade. These are praticial exams in which students can showcase what they have learnt to advance to a higher belt level. As a white belt, there are 9 colour belt levels to progess through before you become a black belt (Dan I). This includes Yellow, Blue and Red belt. Each colour division can be further divided into 3 ranks ranging from stripe I to III. Please find the grading syllabus below for specifics for what is tested at each level - study up!

In order to be eligible for gradings at MUTKD, members must own a full Taekwondo uniform as well as access to sparring gear. You will also need to keep and bring a personal copy of the grading book (attached below) to the grading session you wish to attend. Finally, please not that participating will incur some fee as well.
